Cartons du Coeur, food parcels for children and families in great need in our region of Switzerland.
Association Esperanza http://www.association-esperanza.ch/ – Nyon, Switzerland. The association supports an orphanage in Niger and fosters psychological counseling to children at risk in Switzerland.
Alti Development Guinea, Guinea – This was a direct donation of some 40 kg of clothing delivered and distributed by Dr. Eun-Uk AHN to the workers at the company’s mine.
Association Le Copain http://www.lecopain.ch/seiten_fr/frame_fr.htm – Valais, Switzerland. They provide guide dogs for blind and disabled children.
Aruna’s Action for Tsunami victims – Franca personally made the donation, on behalf of Kids with a Cause Europe.
Tumavia Village – Fiji, is located in the Nakelo District northeast of Suva, Fiji and is one of the poorest villages in the district. We help the children of this village along with Liz Haworth by offering ongoing support for the Children’s Library opened in the autumn of 2007. Built in the home of Livai and Wati Davetabai, the library consists of one bookshelf and approximately 350 new or gently used English language children’s books. Although the children study and speak English at school, very few of them have access to books and educational materials at home. Their library provides enrichment to their studies, helps foster reading and encourages lifelong learning.

Wati acts as librarian, managing the books and overseeing the children’s visits. Wati always has a line of children waiting to return their old books and check out the new ones.

Wati says: “The children of Tumavia enjoy reading their library books. It helps them a lot with their studies. Most of them received prizes in the end of school term. This is a great shock in the village of Tumavia.”
